There goes the neighborhood...

Ridiculous?

Sure...but with God as my witness
I do believe that Bill might have a point here...

Yes...I do believe that he does.

Love Everybody...make them feel good about themselves...

Hey y'all! And how ya doin'?
Let's see here, now...I understand that they had a presidential debate last night on TV. It's all over Netsville.
It was good, too. Every time McCan't said somethin' about this country, he mentioned the fact that Obama didn't understand. But when Obama said somethin' he made them both look like they understood what was happenin'.
Which is a clear message to me that he DOES understand. Not to mention that video that's circulatin' around Netsville about the contradictions that involve McCan't speeches. My favorite one is when he was standin' somewhere in the middle east talkin' about Al Queda to a camera. Then one of his partners whispered into his ear that he should be talkin' about Iran instead. And McCan't had to say sorry and correct himself. I was havin' an lol.
Oh and then when Obama reminded McCan't that he was singin' Bomb Iran to a nationally syndicated broadcast....ooooh wee, it was like one of them old karate movies. And then after awhile it just started giving me the willies, ya know? And so I'm lookin' into McCan't eyes tryin to figure him out. Because he's just too old to lie like the rest of them young repubs. If you look into his eyes when he's talkin' it looks to me like he don't really know what the hell he's talkin' about...
Now when Obama speaks, regardless of how pragmatic he may sound, he makes you feel like he's tryin' to love everybody. And that's what this country needs right about now...

I found the perfect song for this topic...
Y'all have a little laugh now and then.

Gary Davis: You Got To Go Down

Here he is...

Reverend Gary Davis. He has got a fine message for all of us today. If you can take a minute to try and understand what he's sayin, you and your companion might make it through another week. We got money problems, political issues and war to deal with everyday. And what Gary Davis is trying to say to everybody is that you have to go down. And that's all he is sayin'.
You can interpret those words into whatever you want, now...but believe me...when your wife wakes up early in the morning SHE might look at you and have her OWN definition...
Y'all have a good day, now...

PD4U might teach you something new...

"The bankruptcy of Wall Street powerhouse Lehman Bros. and the first sale of securities rival Merrill Lynch are sending shock waves through the financial system, multiplying the danger to the nation's economy."
-sfgate.com

Hmmm...sounds like the Blues to me.
And now all these folks on "Wall Street" might understand what it means to feel like this. Ya know? And quickly now, before the feeling goes away, sit down with a musical instrument and try and write a song about it. It aint that easy now is it? Yeah boy, that's why you have got to respect the songwriters of the late 20's and thirties for all the work they have done. I mean can you imagine the "REAL" depression?! Nobody could google nothin', back in those days. You couldn't get on your mobile phone and talk to somebody about it ether. You just had to deal with it. Somehow, some way folks had to let it exist in the mind and heart without no real option to choose from.
So take a look down this page if you got a minute. All these songs were written around that time when hope was not even a fiscal possibility. Respect your country music, your blues music, your opera and show tunes...All these musicians and artists were just simply giving  folks a remedy with no real solution. Which is what we needed back in them days.
Or check this link out

Have a nice one if you can...

The Message

Hey y'all...how you doin out there? Here in Netsville there's plenty of time to ponder on just about anything you want to. Been listening to hip hop recently. Not the new stuff. But the old. If I want to listen to the newer stuff I always go to Mp34U and search their hip hop section. It's alright, you know? But some of these youngsters don't realize where the original message came from, sometimes. Folkes like me and Blind Lemon Jefferson and Mississippi John and Robert Johnson...we paved the first road to drop ALL of them rhymes on to.
Anyway...like I said, I was browsin through Netsville and I found a classic rap song from the 1980's. Funny how that's the past for y 'all and it's the future for me. So check it out. And tell me if this artist aint sayin' the same thing we was tryin' to sing about back when times was REALLY hard...

Robert Wilkins - I'll Go With Her Blues

Hey everybody, how y'all doin?

Check it, this man Robert Williams is talkin' ' bout some blues that I cannot deny. Why is it always a woman that makes you wanna hoot and holler about everything under the sun? When life gets to be that way, it's best to pick up some kinda guitar and let her go by way of melody. We been callin' it the blues for so long now...for so long.

Jerry Reed is in heaven now

Hey y'all. I just heard some news about country singer Jerry Reed.
He has passed on into the next world. He was 71 years old. That's a good, long life for a country singer. He started at a young age, too.
I aint no country picker on a guitar like he was, but I sure do have respect for an artist who keeps his fans happy. And that's exactly what Mr. Reed did. He even acted in the film world, too. With none other than Burt Reynolds. Smokey and the Bandit. I heard that Burt
Reynolds gave him a Trans Am one day. It was just like the one in the movies, too. Anyway...just givin' my respect to a fellow guitar slinger by the name of Mr. Jerry Reed. Rest in peace young man...
Rest in peace.

Here is a video of Jerry Reed with a song about New Orleans

How Can You Have The Blues?

Hey everybody, Y'all had enough of politics this week?
Me too! Sure could use some relaxin' time right about now. Gettin' sick and tired of hearin' about that hypocrite republican team they got runnin'. What they NEED to do is run for the door that jack built in front of a cliff, is what they need to do...

Anyway, the great thing about bein' stuck here in Netsville is that the music is everywhere and right in my reach. Just a button away. Hmph...check out the buttons on Kansas city Kitty. Oh yeah, and she's around here somewhere. I just found a song that her and what's his name done did. Dorsey...TOM. Georgia Tom. That's his name. Kitty'll make you forget 'cha own name, if you know what I'm talkin' about.
Well...here is a song that...uh...oh yeah...Tom was singin' one mornin'. I don't know how Kitty feels about this song, but I bet she had somethin' to do with it...seems that she ought to be happy about somethin'. But you know how some of these women get. Always gotta say what's on their mind, even if they get a moment of happiness. They seem to find what's wrong somewhere...
Anyway,
Wanna hear it?
Here it go...
-play-

Have a good one and try not to listen to that Republican shit too often. They aint got no kinda sense for a world that needs some, right about now.
Gobama!
