One Track Mind (To Make Money)

Hmmm...this kid looks like he knows what he's talkin' about.
Sounds like he's talkin' about Obama. The man at the front of the train, trying to bring a little hope to our heart and minds.
And yeah, we do seem to spend a lot of our time back seat driving.
I dunno...great lyrics and great beat though...these crazy kids and their new age music!
And it's kid friendly.

The Blues Understands You More Than Facebook

Oh the blues...the root of most western therapy.
Some may tell you how it happened. Some may tell you what to watch out for in the days to come. But whatever the case may be, a great blues artist will let you know what he or she is feeling with the music to buffer the pain. And for some folks, that's the only thing that may make sense for the time being.
Now I aint sayin' that things will be better or worse in the future, because only God knows about that stuff. What I can say is that in hard times when the heart is so cold and shaky that you can barely breathe, hardly anybody wants to talk to you. Why is that? When it's so bad that all you can think about is the pain, you might be lucky if your own family wants to be around you. And when it's that bad, you get to thinking that nobody on earth will understand.
Heh!
That's what I say to that. Because all blues artists know about this stuff. Especially when the money is gone; the material possessions have vanished; friends are happy and married. Rich people are rubbing their success in your face. And you might be stuck by yourself without a hand to reach out to.
The blues music can be part of that first step we all need to take if things are that bad. It may not be something you can rely on for more than a little while, but it sure makes for some good timing. Especially with all these social networks that people love to share their business on.
( Facebook is hard on a relationship )You could be in your worse state and see your ex lover's picture and lose all hope and reason for living. Which is a brand new thing to deal with in this world. Think about it. And when you are in that state, most people shrug you off like you are too pathetic to deal with. Aint that nice of them? Just when you need someone the most. They say that nobody loves you when you are down and out.

Now hold on a minute. Before you start typing a comment, all I'm saying is that the blues music will always be there for you. There is an entire network; a force; an army of folks that might know how you feel deep inside. Maybe not exactly. But it's a spark of hope to have some kind of understanding. Especially at the start of a new year after a decade of G.W. Bush politics! We are walking away from that and must deal with some new ideas to better our selves with.

Let Henry Thomas share his understanding with you...in his way.

A Day To Live Your Life Is All We Really Need

Hey now! Do you know what to do this week?
I'll tell you.
Keep your head up and walk into the new decade with a feeling of curiosity!
It might be hard, now, to put aside the troubles in your mind. Life might seem like it has gone sideways. Well, honestly, it does tend to do that every once in awhile...

But what you don't know is what the future has in store for you. Now, don't get me wrong. The older you get the more you have to work at it. Whatever it is that you are striving for. And all we really have between rest is one day at a time. And luckily, that is all the time you need to create a future for yourself. Unless you have SO much goin' on that you need two days in a row before bedtime. If that's how you are then you might want to make a new years resolution and reorganize your life so that you have time to live it one day at a time.

The only thing that should be timeless is love, memories and music...

And here is a timeless piece by Jelly Roll Morton And His Red Hot Peppers:
